An Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is the highest-ranking person on board an offshore installation, such as a platform or rig. They are responsible for the overall safety, efficiency, and compliance of the installation.
Responsibilities:

- Managing the installation’s budget and resources
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Developing and implementing safety plans and procedures
- Responding to emergencies and incidents
- Managing the installation’s personnel
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive experience in the offshore industry
- A strong understanding of offshore operations and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is often required
