Role: A Helicopter Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL) is a crucial member of an offshore installation’s emergency response team, responsible for leading and coordinating the response to helicopter emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the initial response to helicopter emergencies, such as crashes, fires, or evacuations.
• Supervising the Helideck Emergency Response Team (HERTM) in their duties.
• Implementing emergency procedures and coordinating with other emergency services.
• Ensuring the safety of personnel on the helideck and in the surrounding area.
• Conducting post-incident reviews and making recommendations for improvement.
