Confined Space Entry Course

The Confined Space Entry Course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely enter and work within confined spaces. Confined spaces are enclosed or partially enclosed spaces that have limited or restricted means of entry and exit, and where atmospheric hazards may exist.

Key Objectives:

• Understand the hazards of confined spaces: Learn about the potential hazards associated with confined spaces, including atmospheric hazards (oxygen deficiency, toxic gases, flammable gases), physical hazards (entrapment, falls, drowning), and engulfment hazards.
• Learn to recognize and classify confined spaces: Develop the ability to identify and classify confined spaces based on their potential hazards.
• Understand confined space entry procedures: Learn about the steps involved in a safe confined space entry, including pre-entry planning, atmospheric testing, entry procedures, and emergency procedures.
