HAD / HLA (Helideck Assistant)

Role: A Helideck Assistant (HAD/HLA) works closely with the Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) to ensure the safe and efficient landing and takeoff of helicopters on offshore platforms or other designated locations.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the HLO in all aspects of helideck operations.
• Conducting pre-flight inspections of the helideck and its equipment.
• Ensuring the helideck is clear of obstructions and personnel.
• Guiding the helicopter to a safe landing spot.
• Assisting with passenger and cargo loading and unloading.
• Implementing and enforcing safety procedures.
• Responding to emergencies, such as fires, medical emergencies, or accidents.
• Maintaining the helideck in a safe and operational condition.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an approved Helideck Assistant training course.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in challenging conditions.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces.
